アルビオン・カントリー・バンドの「バトル・オブ・ザ・フィールド」。
大半が73年に録音されながら76年になってHELPシリーズで発売されたもの。
エレクトリック・トラッドの基本中の基本です。【ラビリンス3050】、『ブラックホーク99選』選出。
この時期ノリにノッていたマーティン・カーシーの歌うバラッドと、スー・ハリス、ジョン・カークパトリック夫妻を中心にしたダンス･チューンで構成。
トラッド以外が2曲あっていずれもリチャード・トンプソン作で冒頭の名曲「アルビオン・サンライズ」とこれも名曲「ニュー・セント・ジョージ」。トンプソン自身がバンドから抜けてしまったのは残念ですがいずれも素晴らしい出来です。
個人的にはマーティン・カーシー上等！の一枚ですね。
